Invited by the Jiangning Development Zone, HURYS participated as one of Nanjing's representative enterprises in the intelligent connected vehicle industry, delivering a keynote presentation on next-generation roadside digital infrastructure.

Strengthening International Collaboration in Intelligent Mobility

The Japanese delegation consisted of representatives from more than 20 leading companies, primarily automotive component manufacturers, whose expertise closely aligns with the industrial ecosystem of Jiangning Development Zone.

During the event, local officials highlighted the region's continued investment in intelligent connected vehicle technologies and its rapidly growing industrial ecosystem, covering:

  • Intelligent sensors

  • Autonomous driving chips

  • Automotive core components

  • Specialized vehicles

  • Intelligent transportation solutions

  • Mobility services

This integrated industrial chain provides a strong foundation for future international cooperation.

Building the Digital Roadside Foundation for the V2X Era

During the enterprise forum, Mr. Jiang Rongjun, General Manager of HURYS, delivered a keynote presentation titled: "Building the Digital Roadside Foundation for the V2X Era" In his presentation, Mr. Jiang emphasized that vehicle intelligence and vehicle connectivity are complementary technologies, both essential to the future evolution of the automotive industry.

He explained that the transition toward connected mobility also requires a comprehensive upgrade of roadside infrastructure, identifying three major transformations shaping future transportation:

  • From infrastructure designed solely for human perception to infrastructure serving both humans and intelligent machines

  • From isolated roadside devices to fully connected transportation networks

  • From physical road infrastructure to digital transportation ecosystems

Mr. Jiang noted that traditional roadway information—including traffic signs, speed limits, and signal timing—must be transformed into digital information that can be directly interpreted by intelligent connected vehicles.

Achieving this vision requires systematic upgrades to roadside infrastructure and intelligent sensing systems, enabling safer, more efficient, and highly connected transportation networks.

Radar as the Core Sensor for Smart Road Infrastructure

Mr. Jiang further highlighted the critical role of radar technology in intelligent transportation. As a highly reliable roadside perception sensor, radar provides the foundation for intelligent connected infrastructure. Building upon its advanced radar sensing technologies, HURYS has pioneered the integration of four complementary categories of traffic data:

  • Real-time transient data

  • Dynamic traffic data

  • Temporary traffic state data

  • Static infrastructure data

Together, these datasets enable comprehensive, high-precision perception of complex road environments and form the digital foundation required for the next generation of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) transportation systems.

Driving Industry Recognition and International Cooperation The presentation received strong recognition from government officials, international business representatives, industry experts, and transportation professionals.

It also generated considerable interest in how compact intelligent radar technologies can support a wide range of smart mobility applications, further strengthening understanding of radar technology and its future market potential.

From Smart Cities to Global Mobility

Today, the HURYS Digital Roadside Infrastructure Platform has been successfully deployed in more than 20 cities, including Nanjing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

These large-scale deployments have validated the platform's technical capabilities while providing a solid foundation for the continued commercialization and expansion of intelligent connected transportation systems.

Looking ahead, HURYS believes that exchanges such as this will further strengthen collaboration between China and Japan in the intelligent connected vehicle industry, promote the global development of smart mobility technologies, and create new opportunities for international technology cooperation and market expansion.
