HURYS Showcases Maritime Radar Solutions at Fujian International Maritime Equipment Expo 2026
Shipborne obstacle avoidance and shore-based surveillance support safer navigation and waterway monitoring
FUZHOU, China, October 16, 2026 — HURYS showcased its latest shipborne millimeter-wave radar for obstacle avoidance and warning, shore-based phased-array radar for surface surveillance, and integrated waterborne transport solutions at the 4th Fujian International Maritime Equipment Expo. The exhibition opened on October 16 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center and runs through October 19, 2026. With a theme focused on green and intelligent navigation and maritime connectivity, the expo provided a platform for HURYS to present radar sensing technologies for vessel navigation safety and continuous monitoring of waterway activity.

Industry engagement at Booth 2A156
HURYS welcomed industry customers, partners and other visitors to Booth 2A156, where its radar hardware and vessel safety solutions attracted interest. Discussions covered target detection while vessels are underway, sea clutter suppression in challenging sea conditions, and continuous shore-based surveillance. The team explained product operating principles, deployment options and applications, exchanging views on the use of radar sensing to improve situational awareness and navigation safety.
Shipborne radar for obstacle avoidance and warning
Changes in lighting, rain, fog and sea conditions can make obstacle detection more difficult. HURYS shipborne millimeter-wave radar operates independently of ambient light and supports continuous target detection by day and night and in challenging weather. It provides detection at distances of up to 1 km, depending on target characteristics and operating conditions. Salt-spray protection helps the radar withstand the high salinity and humidity of marine environments. Algorithms developed for detection from a moving vessel support dynamic target detection and tracking while underway. Sea clutter suppression reduces interference from wave echoes to improve the stability of target detection and track monitoring. Multiple radars deployed around a vessel can provide 360-degree situational awareness, supporting assisted navigation, obstacle warnings and unmanned surface vessel applications.
Shore-based radar for continuous surface surveillance
HURYS shore-based phased-array radar uses a continuous-wave architecture with digital beamforming (DBF). Combining phased-array sensing with digital signal processing, it supports continuous detection and tracking of surface targets in ports, navigation channels and other priority waters with dense or complex traffic.
The radar continuously outputs target positions, motion data and tracks. These data support navigation channel monitoring, waterway situational awareness, security management in designated areas, and integration with operational platforms.
